General Description 

As the 340B Pharmacy Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our pharmacy partners, as well as evaluating expansion opportunities and contracting. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day pharmacy program performance and issue/resolution. 

Key Responsibilities 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with assigned pharmacy partners 

  • Handling of day-to-day pharmacy issues, concerns, and resolution 

  • Maintaining relationships with chain pharmacies and their gateways 

  • Reviewing analytics on expansion opportunities for our Covered Entities and reaching out to pharmacies to potentially contract 

  • Handling NPI analysis requests, as needed 

  • Monitor pharmacies' performance, such as capture rates, dispensing fees, and inventory management 

  • Scheduling and conducting pharmacy training on 340B program processes and Equiscript’s web portal 

  • Ensuring timely response to pharmacy inquiries 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned pharmacies 

Professional Qualities 

  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, high-intensity, deadline-oriented work environment. 

  • Must possess strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capabilities 

  • Ability to effectively use reports and other analytical tools 

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with people of all types, including the ability to genuinely display warmth and empathy. 

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and processes and achieve deadlines under pressure. 

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with confidential documents. 

  • Ability to work independently after training. 

Preferred Experience 

  • At least 3+ years of 340B experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or pharmacy experience 

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Proven customer service and communication skills 

  • Must possess strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capabilities 

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills 

Physical Requirements 

  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting up to 25 pounds; requires a normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
